Meet my friend today:

Friend # 9 “What I learned from Crystal Fulda”

Crystal is very careful about fat intake and portions. She is a great example of self control.

Lesson: We really don’t need to eat a lot of food to be satisfied.

Crystal and I became friends after a meeting where she was starting a faith based program for adults with disabilities. I was helping out a young man with disabilities at the time and a group like this was badly needed. I watched Crystal year after year at Faithful Buds and on Mission Trips to Rainbow Acres, noticing how she treated people with kindness. She knows the difference between goodness and kindness and Crystal exemplifies both. She makes people feel special. She places herself last in every situation. She has helped me with humility and encourages me to improve situations through prayer and God’s grace.

Food Shrinkage

Food Shrinkage

I have been experimenting with purposely taking smaller portions of food.  Eating less food has many benefits.  I will name a few.

1.  You will not feel so sluggish.

2.  You gain some control of your appetite and decision making.

3.  You decrease your calorie intake and over time, you can drop a few unwanted pounds or improve your blood chemistry.

4.  You save money on your grocery bill.  

5.  You may save money on your medications that may be reduced or possibly no longer needed.

Begin shrinking your food portions and pay attention to how your feel.  

Remember distractions can get your through a hunger pang.
